Transition Networks Demonstrates 10 Gigabit Media Converters and PoE++ Switches at BICSI Fall Conference 2018

New Media Converters Provide Increased Bandwidth to Meet Growing Enterprise Networking Demands and Innovative Switches Enable Intelligent LED Lighting Solutions

Minneapolis, MN – September 4, 2018 — Transition Networks, Inc., a leading provider of edge connectivity solutions, today announced it will showcase its new 10 Gigabit Ethernet Remotely Managed Media and Rate Converter NID and its new 24-Port Managed Gigabit Ethernet PoE++ Switch at the BICSI 2018 Fall Conference.

The BICSI 2018 Fall Conference & Exhibition will take place September 9-13, 2018 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas. Transition Networks will showcase its cutting edge solutions in booth #728.

In its booth, Transition Networks will display some of its extensive switch product line including its 24-Port Managed Gigabit Ethernet PoE++ Switch, which can be used to support PoE-connected smart lighting. Other switches on display include an eight-port Managed Hardened Gigabit Ethernet PoE+ Switch and the 16-port Smart Managed Gigabit Ethernet PoE+ Switch. All switches showcased at the show feature Transition Networks’ unique, built-in Device Management System (DMS) software for advanced management of the entire PoE network.

To demonstrate solutions for high bandwidth enterprise network needs, Transition Networks will demonstrate its various 10 Gigabit Ethernet Media Converters featuring its new C4221-4848 with two 10 GbE SFP+ ports that provide flexible connectivity for 10 GbE networks and is the first 10 Gbps Ethernet fiber-to-fiber extender on the market that provides bandwidth rate limiting from 1 Gbps to 10 Gbps. Additionally, the company will display its Ethernet Over Coax Extender with PoE+ which reduces costs and accelerates time to service.

Transition Networks is a presenter at the “What’s New, What’s it Do” speaker series during the BICSI conference where Senior Product Manager, Curt Carlson will give a presentation on powering enterprise smart lighting using PoE++ technology.
