Unmanaged Switches
Networks for small businesses, work groups or industrial applications can operate with the plug-and-play simplicity of an unmanaged Ethernet network. These networks are typically built using cost-effective unmanaged network switches. Building this type of network is as easy as setting the switch in place, powering it up and then connecting user cables to the ports. The switch automatically sets port parameters such as data rate and duplex or full-duplex flow control as well as straight through or crossover cable (MDI/MDIX) mode.
Unmanaged Ethernet switches provide simple networking for Ethernet, Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet networks. Basic operational diagnostics are provided by per-port LEDs that indicate if Ethernet traffic is flowing properly. Unmanaged switches are also available that support Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) for connecting IP phones, wireless access points or other devices that need power and connectivity. Fiber-optic backbone or user connections are also an important requirement and the use of SFP ports can provide the ultimate flexibility by supporting a wide range of fiber cables and connectors.
Transition Networks’ Unmanaged Switches provide simple networking to save time and cost in the network. Our switches are available in enterprise grades or hardened temperature grades to provide the most flexibility for any network. You can also take advantage of power and connectivity through our PoE unmanaged switches. View our Unmanaged Switches below.
I have been specifically using Transition Networks’ products on my engineering products for over 10 years. I have always been pleased with their products, their support, and their willingness to listen to requests for new product development.
