| Learned MAC Address Database (LAD) Cache Command | cmefg100LadCacheCmd(55) |
All variables starting with cmefg100Lad relate to the Learned MAC Address Database. Due to the potentially very large size of the LAD database and the limited memory within the Agent, the cache is loaded into the cache memory buffer only when it is requested via this MIB variable. Setting this var to loadCache commands the agent to upload the LAD from the device exactly one time. Note that the contents of this cache are NOT automatically refreshed. Setting this variable to 'release' causes the data in the cache to be purged, even if the cache buffer contains data of an entirely different type, such as the VLAN table cache. Thus, it is not necessary to know what type of data was most recently loaded into the cache buffer in order to release it, but it is necessary to take care not to accidentally release data that is currently in use. A genErr will be returned if any other command involving reading or writing the LAD or the VLAN table is already in progress. Values: { loadCache(1), doNothing(2), release(3) } |
| LAD Cache State | cmefg100LadCacheState(56) |
This variable shows the current state of the Agent's cache buffer with respect to the Learned Address Database. A value of 'ready' means that the cache buffer contains a complete copy of the LAD that is less than 300 seconds old. A value of 'stale' means that the cache buffer contains a complete copy of the LAD that is more than 300 seconds old. A value of 'empty' means that the buffer has been purged, and the system is ready to accept a cmefg100LadCacheCmd of 'loadCache.' A value of 'transferring' means that no command can be issued and the cache cannot be read because data is currently being transferred into the cache buffer. The data may or may not be related to the LAD. A value of 'bufferBusy' means that the buffer contains a complete copy (ready or stale) of something other than the LAD. The contents of the buffer can be overwritten with the LAD by issuing a 'loadCache' command. Values: { ready(1), empty(2), transferring(3), bufferBusy(4), stale(5) } |
| LAD Table insert/overwrite/delete Edit Command | cmefg100LadEditCmd(57) |
Setting this var to 'write' causes LadEditMac, LadEditPort, and LadEditVid to be written (insert or overwrite) to the LAD in the bridge itself (i.e. not in the cache). Setting this var to 'delete' causes the address represented by LadEditMac to be deleted from the LAD. Changes made are not reflected in the LAD cache until the device accepts them and the cache is reloaded. A genErr will be returned if any other command involving reading or writing the LAD or the VLAN table is already in progress. Values: { write(1), delete(2), doNothing(3) } |
| Table insert/overwrite/delete Ethernet MAC Address | cmefg100LadEditMac(58) |
The MAC address to be used the next time cmefg100LadEditCmd is set to write(1) or delete(2). The address is represented in plain text exactly 17 characters long, and consisting of six two-digit hexadecimal numbers separated by colons. |
| Table insert/overwrite/delete Port | cmefg100LadEditPort(59) |
A port to be used the next time cmefg100LadEditCmd is set to write. Values: { twistedPair(1), fiber(2), drop(3) } |
| Table insert/overwrite/delete VLAN ID | cmefg100LadEditVid(60) |
A VLAN Id to be used the next time cmefg100LadEditCmd is set to write. Not valid (ignored) when cmefg100VlanEnable is disabled(2) |
| LAD Number of Cache Entries | cmefg100LadEntries(61) |
A count of the number of entries currently in the LAD Cache. See also cmefg100LadCacheState. If a LAD cache-filling transfer is in progress, this variable can be read for a progress report. |
| Cached LAD MAC Address | cmefg100LadMacTbl(62) |
An Ethernet MAC address in the LAD table. The SubDeviceIndex is an arbitrary integer sequence number, range 1..cmefg100LadEntries. If cmefg100LadEntries is 0 (either because cmefg100LadCacheState is not 'ready/stale' or because there simply are no entries), this table contains a solitary dummy entry, SubDeviceIndex==1. |
| Cached LAD Port | cmefg100LadPortTbl(63) |
A port in the LAD table. Drop means 'forward to neither port' The SubDeviceIndex is an arbitrary integer sequence number, range 1..cmefg100LadEntries. If cmefg100LadEntries is 0 (either because cmefg100LadCacheState is not 'ready/stale' or because there simply are no entries), this table contains a solitary entry, SubDeviceIndex==1, value notApplicable. Values: { twistedPair(1), fiber(2), drop(3), notApplicable(4) } |
| Cached LAD Static Status | cmefg100LadStaticTbl(64) |
An indication of whether the indexed entry in the LAD is static or dynamic. The SubDeviceIndex is an arbitrary integer sequence number, range 1..cmefg100LadEntries. If cmefg100LadEntries is 0 (either because cmefg100LadCacheState is not 'ready/stale' or because there simply are no entries), this table contains a solitary entry, SubDeviceIndex==1, value notApplicable. Values: { static(1), dynamic(2), notApplicable(3) } |
| Cached LAD VLAN ID | cmefg100LadVidTbl(65) |
A VLAN Id in the LAD table. Always returns the dummy value '0' when cmefg100VlanEnable is disabled(2). |

| Remote Uptime | cmefg100RmtUptime(188) |

| VLAN Cache Command | cmefg100VlanCacheCmd(189) |
All variables starting with cmefg100Lad relate to 802.1Q VLAN controls. Setting this var to loadCache commands the agent to upload the VLAN table from the device exactly one time. Note that the contents of this cache are NOT automatically refreshed. A genErr will be returned if any other command involving reading or writing the LAD or the VLAN table is in already progress. Values: { loadCache(1), doNothing(2), release(3) } |
| VLAN Cache State | cmefg100VlanCacheState(190) |
This variable shows the current state of the Agent's cache buffer with respect to the VLAN Database. A value of 'ready' means that the cache buffer contains a complete copy of the VLAN database that is less than 300 seconds old. A value of 'stale' means that the cache buffer contains a complete copy of the VLAN database that is more than 300 seconds old. A value of 'empty' means that the buffer has been purged, and the system is ready to accept a cmefg100VlanCacheCmd of 'loadCache.' A value of 'transferring' means that no command can be issued and the cache cannot be read because data is currently being transferred into the cache buffer. The data may or may not be related to the VLAN database. A value of 'bufferBusy' means that the buffer contains a complete copy (ready or stale) of something other than the VLAN database. The contents of the buffer can be overwritten with the VLAN database by issuing a 'loadCache' command. Values: { ready(1), empty(2), transferring(3), bufferBusy(4) } |
| VLAN Edit Command | cmefg100VlanEditCmd(191) |
Setting this var to write causes VlanEditFwdFiber, VlanEditFwdTp, VlanEditUntagFiber, VlanEditUntagTp, and VlanEditVid to be written (insert or overwrite) to the VLAN table in the bridge itself, not in the cache. Setting this var to delete causes the VLAN Id represented by VlanEditVlanId to be deleted from the VLAN table. A genErr will be returned if any other command involving reading or writing the LAD or the VLAN table is already in progress. Values: { write(1), delete(2), doNothing(3) } |
