This document describes the following Point System topics:
Focal Point - CPSMP100 CPSMP100 Instant-Fail-Over Power Supply
CPSMP100 SNMP MIB Variables
The following manageable features are available for the CPSMP100:
- BiaIndex - (Integer, read only) "Burned In Address." This
is the serial number of the cabinet into which this CPSMP100 is installed.
- SlotIndex - (Integer, read only) The cabinet slot into which
this CPSMP100 is installed.
- Groups - (String, read/write) This is the Device Group String
for this CPSMP100. For more information on Device Group Strings, see the help
for Configuration Management .
- MRevision - (String, read only) This is the marketing revision
level of the device. It is the last three digits of the part number.
- CfgMatch - (Integer, read only) This value indicates whether
or not this particular CPSMP100 is selected to receive configuration changes.
For more information, see the help for Configuration Management
.
- SerialNumber - (Integer, read only) The serial number for
this CPSMP100
- Mode - (Integer, read/write) This control causes the CPSMP100
to act as either a master or a slave power supply. When one power supply is set
to master(1) and the other is set to slave(2), the master will supply all power
to the cabinet, and the slave will take over if the master stops supplying power.
This is useful when (for example) one supply is attached to a wall socket and
the other to a battery backup. The cabinet can be directed to only draw power
from batteries when there is no alternative. When both power supplies are set
to master(1), the results are determined automatically. WARNING: It is up to the
system administrator to ensure that at least one power supply is set to master(1).
It is illegal to set all power supplies to slave(2). If this occurs, the cabinet
may lose all power under certain circumstances, even if power is available.
- ConfigMode - (Integer, read only) The CPSMP100 has a hardware
switch block that can be used to set its configuration, and one of these switches
disallows software changes to these values. The ConfigMode variable shows the
state of the switch - i.e. it indicates whether or not Software changes are locked
out.
- RemoteFan - (Integer, read only) Indicates whether or not
a remote fan is installed. A remote fan is a device that fits into a power supply
slot, but contains no power supply -- only a fan.
- PowerOK - (Integer, read only) Indicates whether or not the
power supply is generating at least 11.25VDC.
- InUse - (Integer, read only) Indicates whether or not this
particular power supply is currently providing power to the cabinet.
- ChassisPower - (Integer, read only) The load on this power
supply, in milliwatts.
- ChassisTemp - (Integer, read only) The temperature detected
by the sensor on this power supply, in degrees Centigrade.
- RfanFault - (Integer, read only) If a remote fan is present,
this variable indicates whether or not a fault on this fan (namely excessive or
no current draw) has been detected.
- LfanFault - (Integer, read only) This variable indicates whether
or not a fault on the local fan (namely excessive or no current draw) has been
detected.
