CFMFF100

This document describes the following Point System topics:

Focal Point - CFMFF100 Single-Mode to Multi-Mode Fiber Media Converter

CFMFF100 SNMP MIB Variables

The following manageable features are available for the CFMFF100:

  • BiaIndex - (Integer, read only) "Burned In Address." This is the serial number of the cabinet into which this CFMFF100 is installed.
  • SlotIndex - (Integer, read only) The cabinet slot into which this CFMFF100 is installed.
  • Groups - (String, read/write) This is the Device Group String for this CFMFF100. For more information on Device Group Strings, see the help for Configuration Management.
  • MRevision - (String, read only) This is the marketing revision level of the device. It is the last three digits of the part number.
  • CfgMatch - (Integer, read only) This value indicates whether or not this particular CFMFF100 is selected to receive configuration changes. For more information, see the help for Configuration Management.
  • ConnA, ConnB - (Integer, read only) The styles of the connectors installed in this device during manufacturing. ConnA is the SingleMode interface, and ConnB is the MultiMode interface.
  • SerialNumber - (Integer, read only) The serial number for this CFMFF100
  • SMSignal, MMSignal - (Integer, read only) The Signal Detect state for each of the two media connectors.
  • Enabled - (Integer, read/write) Traffic through this CFMFF100 can be disabled via this control. This control has four settings to allow one, both, or neither interface to be disabled. For all but highly specialized test purposes, the three "disabled" settings are equivalent.
  • PortShutOff - (Integer, read only) This indicator reflects the status of the DPT/OPP jumper on the board. When Port Shut Off is enabled (the DPT position), a loss of receive signal on an interface causes the CFMFF100 to disable both fiber interfaces. Otherwise, only the opposite interface is disabled. Use of the DPT position is discouraged, as it may permit a signal loss condition from which the converter is unable to recover automatically.
  • ConfigMode - (Integer, read only) The CFMFF100 has a hardware switch block that can be used to set the Enable option, and disallow software changes to this value. The ConfigMode variable shows the state of the switch - i.e. it indicates whether or not Software changes are locked out.
