Vertical Channel Manager
Developing and executing a comprehensive product and sales strategy for Transition Networks; focusing on the Vertical Markets as designated from management.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:

  • Identify and develop relationships with potential channel partners that are not existing customers, demonstrate the value proposition, and work with management to get contracts.
  • Increase business with existing channel partners by identifying business units and marketing programs to help grow the vertical markets.
  • Work with BDM's assigned to vertical markets within TN's sales group.
  • Provide product and sales expertise for the channel partners with whom we have signed on with for marketing programs and engage with headquarters and branch offices to further position our vertical solutions and opportunities. These activities include supporting the identified marketing programs and strategic groups with the channel accounts.
  • Identify valuable marketing opportunities for the respective vertical effort.
  • Maintain a high level of awareness and mind share within the channel accounts to help identify new – including major changes within industries or companies involved that may help to identify changes in need for TN products.
  • Provide and maintain a high level of understanding of TN products.
  • Develop a base-line knowledge of competitors, their products, and what accounts are using them.
  • Market Strategy Development: With existing products and as new products are developed, coordinate with product mgmt and marketing to develop sound marketing programs to help position us within the channel to win in this market place. This will include vertical specific marketing programs that we have signed on with channel partners, and partnering with other strategic vendors to show a total solution and create more brand awareness.
  • Host training sessions for the inside and outside sales teams to help support marketing programs and key vertical sales groups within our channel partners.

Nature & Scope:

  • Reports to Director of Channel Sales- North America.
  • No direct reports or responsibility for supervising others.
  • Travel, up to 75%.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

  • Fluent with MS Office Windows applications.
  • Fluent oral and written English communication skills.
  • Excellent telephone and communication skills.
  • Competence in developing new sales opportunities and moving them to closure.
  • Strong work ethic and an affinity for continually building skills and knowledge.
  • Experienced with working and supporting marketing programs with Channel accounts.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 4 Years of Relevant Work Experience/Channel Account Management.
  • Track record demonstrating successfully supporting and managing of channel accounts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree.
  • Foreign language skills.
