Australia & New Zealand Sales Manager

PURPOSE: Work closely with existing channel partners to help promote and grow Transition Networks business in Australia. Research Australian market and determine if current distribution channel is adequate to increase sales volume. Appoint new distribution channels if necessary. Prospect new end users and resellers, referring them to channel partners. Educate and train distributors and end-users on Transition Networks and product line. Assist distribution channel to design joint marketing activities to maintain a high visibility in the market. Travel throughout Australia meeting with resellers, system integrators and end users to present Transition Networks solutions. Attend local trade shows when necessary.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:

  • Attain monthly sales goals and grow revenue in territory.
  • Conduct new business development telephone calls targeting resellers, system integrators, telecom operators, ISP’s and large enterprise end-users to sell Transition Networks products.
  • Realize a minimum of 12-15 customer visits per week.
  • Evaluate Australian market and appoint additional channel partners if necessary.
  • Evaluate current marketing activities and make changes where necessary to maintain a high visibility in the marketplace and to utilize resources appropriately.
  • Identify potential business relationships with OEM customers to private label our product for the Australian market
  • Perform product training seminars to our resellers and end-users.
  • Manage all aspects of tender preparations including: Pricing quotations, competitive analysis product demonstrations, customer visits
  • Manage pricing quotations to Distributors in coordination with Transition HQ.
  • Utilize internal Customer Relationship Management software to track activities including: quotations, calls and meeting schedule.
  • Prepare a weekly activity report for Transition management on accomplishments, meetings conducted, customers visited, status of open projects and quotations.
  • Report back to Transition HQ on status of large projects and revenue forecast.
  • Facilitate communication between Transition and distribution channel
  • Attend trade shows with our channel partners to present Transition Networks and our product solutions to existing and new customers.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

  • Excellent technical experience in networking hardware, structured cabling, fiber optics or telecommunications.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Extensive contact database to present Transition products.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Business or Technical degree.
  • 5-10 Years Sales experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preferably channel distribution sales.
  • Previous experience working with USA companies helpful.
