Access Technologies for Carrier Ethernet Services

MEFwebcastAs an active member of the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF), Transition Networks wanted to make everyone aware of an Access Technologies for Carrier Ethernet Services webcast— that is the second in a new series of webcasts broadcast from the MEF TV platform, on the MEF public web site (http://metroethernetforum.org/).  The webcast will take place on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at 10:00AM EDT.  The Access Technologies for Carrier Ethernet Services webcast showcases the standards and multiple access technologies that are being used to deliver MEF-compliant Carrier Ethernet services globally.

Attendees of this webcast will receive a complimentary MEF whitepaper that describes each of the Ethernet access technologies in more detail and give examples of applications that are the best fit for each technology.  This paper will help people understand what leading service providers around the world have discovered—that a ubiquitous Ethernet service footprint requires, leveraging several application-specific access technologies to reach all of their customers.  This whitepaper was written by individuals from the following technology companies; Transition Networks, Calix, Overture Networks, ADVA Optical Networking, EXFO, Adtran, Verizon, Hitachi and Actelis Networks.
